Jango is a 6-year-old pit bull and after months of being told he just had a
pulled muscle we took him to another vet for a second opinion. Immediately, she knew he had a
pulled cruciate ligament and referred us to VCA Southeast Portland Animal Hospital and Dr. Petra Ost.
As it turned out, both back legs were torn and surgery was needed to get him back to his active happy
little self. We are currently on our 5th week of recovery of the second surgery and we can see his
playful personality returning. The staff at VCA SE Portland have been so compassionate and have
taken such great care of our baby boy. It's like he is a little rock star every time he goes in as
everyone caters to him and he eats it right up. We are so grateful to Dr. Ost and her amazing team!
